Can I have more adjustment stops added to
my Bowmaster cable?
I have an older Bowmaster and it will not
adjust short enough for my new shorter bow. Can I send my
Bowmaster in and have more adjustment stops added to the cable?
No, I am sorry, we cannot add
adjustment stops to a cable but you can purchase a new cable
with 11 adjustment stops for $9.95. With shipping the
total price for the replacement cable is $11.80 for shipments
within the 48 contiguous states. Instructions are supplied
with the replacement cable and are also available here on our

Will the Bowmaster
Bow Press work on a crossbow?
I am sorry, but the Bowmaster was not
designed to be used on a crossbow and NO attempt should be made
to use the Bowmaster on a crossbow. The likelihood that it will
fail is extremely high.
On a conventional compound bow with a draw weight of 70 lb, it
can take more than 500 lb to compress the limbs. Many crossbows
have draw weights of 150 lb and higher. Although we have never
tested the amount of poundage that it would take to compress a
crossbow with a draw weight of 150 lb, we can assume that it
could easily be upwards of 1000 lb. Neither the Bowmaster Bow
Press nor Brackets were designed to handle this amount of
weight.
We are aware that crossbows are becoming more and more popular
and we have considered manufacturing a press for them but we do
not have anything in the works at this time.
